Working From Home
1. Google Classroom
Your child has access to the Meadows Google Classroom. This is an online classroom where teachers set work for students as if they were in school to complete at home. You can use google classroom on a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop machine. If you are using it on a laptop or desktop click on the google classroom link. If you are using it on a mobile device you will have to download and install the app first. Links are below.

Every child has a username and password which they use to logon to google classroom in school. You will have received a copy of your child's login information earlier this year. If your child is finding it difficult to log on please click on the video below. You can always call or email school work@themeadowsschool.info for help with logging in or work.
We also run live lessons via Google Meet. A timetable of live lessons and a link can be found in your child's working from home classroom.

Google Classroom support for Parents/Carers
If you would like to know more about how we use google classroom and how you can support your child The Meadows is running online sessions for parents and carers. Information will be sent out to you via text and if you would like to attend the session please call or email school work@themeadowsschool.info for login details.

Practical Resources

Everyone learns in different ways. To support our students we offer, paper packs, baking packs and creative packs to allow students to access our curriculum. It is important that every child has a routine and continues to learn and access their learning as if they were attending school.

2. Additional Online Information
My Maths
The school has subscribed to MyMaths, an interactive Maths website for teaching, learning, revising and enjoying mathematics. Usernames and passwords have been given to pupils. This resource can be used on a variety of devices. You will need to log into the Meadows school first.

BBC Bitesize
Key Stage 3 is the first three years of secondary school education in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, for pupils aged 11 to 14. Click on the link and you will find a range of subjects from English and Maths to ICT and Science. You can access two week home learning packs by clicking on the BBC Bitesize logo above and selecting your childs Year group and subject.

Oak Online Academy
​
Oak National Academy is a collection of high-quality lessons and online resources. Backed by the Government, it has been created in response to the coronavirus lock down.
​
The online classroom offers free access to great teachers, delivering video lessons, quizzes and worksheets. Available for both primary and secondary levels, it covers a range of subjects. All of the lessons are ordered so your child can learn along a clear plan. We’ll provide new lessons and resources each week.
