Learning : Curriculum

In LEAP we cover all National Curriculum Subjects (English , Maths , Science, Computing , Physical Education , History , Geography , Art and Design, Design Technology )

We adopt a thematic approach where possible

We teach Durham  Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education

Contextualised learning opportunities are incorporated through visits to support our learning

Assessment Opportunities:

Boxall profile completed on admission

Reading age data collated on admission and progression tested termly

All learners using success grids across curriculum to identify success and next steps

SATS to be undertaken with Year 6 cohort

Introduction of self esteem baseline

Statutory annual reviews undertaken

Effective marking and feedback policies adopted from main build

Peer and Self assessment opportunities

Outdoor Education on weekly basis
